EDUCATION:
I graduated from Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, Ohio) in 1980 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal and Public Communication. I earned a Masters degree in Science from UNC-G in 1987.
EXPERIENCE:
I started teaching in 2004 and am licensed to teach English as a Second Language K-12 , Spanish K-12, & Reading K-12. I have taught all of them over the last twelve years but currently teach ESL at ATMS, Braxton Craven, & Wheatmore. I have met such wonderful kids here at all my schools. I enjoy how different everybody’s backgrounds are!
BIOGRAPHY:
I have five children, three dogs, and one cat. I was born in Englewood, New Jersey but have lived all over: Downtown Cleveland, Ohio (In the Staler Hilton Hotel - my father was the Manager!) / El Paso, Texas / Cleveland Heights, Ohio / Madrid, Spain / Houston, Texas / Lanzarote, Spain / Boone, North Carolina / & currently in little ol' Trinity, North Carolina. I love to travel and to find out about all the different places and cultures in the world! I've traveled to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Holland, Germany, & France in addition to a plethora of states in the good ol' US of A!
I am the owner of Zimmerman VIneyards and love the opportunity this gives me to support local musicians, artists, restaurants, food vendors, and more!
I am also on the Board of Directors of the Randolph Arts Guild. It is a huge honor to be able to interact with the community and support the arts!
