EDUCATION:
I received a Master of Education in Special Education from Elon University. I also graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology. I am highly qualified as a K-12 special education teacher as well as a middle grades English/Language Arts teacher.
EXPERIENCE:
I began my teaching career in 2007 in the Randolph County School System. I taught for several years at the elementary functional skills level before coming to WMS in my current Exceptional Children's (EC) Resource and Inclusion English/Language Arts Role. I am currently the EC department school-based chairperson.
BIOGRAPHY:
I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and have lived throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. I settled in North Carolina in 2001, and currently live in Kernersville. I have been happily married since 2009 and we welcomed our daughter, Logan, into our family in 2012. I am passionate about being a resource from struggling readers and strengthening literacy skills in all students.
