I am a 2003 graduate of Western Michigan University. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, middle grades math and science.
EXPERIENCE:
The 2020-2021 school year will be my 17th year teaching. I have taught both seventh and eighth grade math and science over the years. I worked in Charlotte and Greensboro before coming to ATMS in 2015.
BIOGRAPHY:
I was born and raised in a small town near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Teaching jobs were hard to come by when I graduated college in 2003, so I decided to move to North Carolina and begin my career. I love the weather and have never looked back!
I enjoy cooking and baking outside of school. I bake and decorate cakes as a side business. I have a son, Mason, and a daughter, Brooklyn. We like to go camping and travel to new places together.
