EXPERIENCE:

CTE INSTRUCTION- STUDENTS

  • I teach 7th Grade students how to  use JavaScript to create video games on the computer. 
  • I teach 8th Grade students how to use JavaScript to create phone apps and games.


PARTNERSHIPS

  • Attended the Duke University “Adventures in Alice” programming during the previous  two summer seminars. Learned the animation software discussed by Randy Pausch in the “Last Lecture.” Helped to create animation lesson plans and assisted with a summer camp for children to learn animation on Duke’s campus. 

 

AWARDS

  • Received an award from the North Carolina Technology in Education Conference for 2009. Of the 160 conference sessions, my session was voted by teacher survey feedback as one of the top 3 sessions of the event.

Personal Mission Statement:  Ms. Witkowski strives to integrate both her academic and real world business experience to provide meaningful curriculum related technology lessons for her middle school students.  She wishes to give them the tools and strategies to become successful 21st Century citizens.  She hopes her passion for life long learning is transferred to her students so they will realize how powerful a good education is.
