Good Evening,

This is David Cross, Principal at Archdale-Trinity Middle School.  I have 7 important announcements.

On Monday, October 14, we will kick off our World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser where students will have the opportunity to check out boxes of chocolate to sell for various prizes. Students that sell one box will get free admission to an outdoor DJ party during school hours. Students that sell two boxes will get a free Kona Ice at the outdoor DJ party, and students that sell three boxes will get an allotted amount of time in the money vault where students will be able to grab some cash. The top 20 sellers will get the opportunity to spend school hours in a Cool Room, where students will get to participate in various games and interactive activities.

Monday, October 14 also marks the beginning of Spirit Week. Students have the opportunity to dress up in the following themes: Monday – Character Day (Dress as your favorite character from books, tv, or movies), Tuesday – Double Trouble (Pair up with a friend and dress as twins or dynamic duo), Wednesday - Black Out (Dress in black from head to toe as our dogs take on the Tigers), Thursday – Throwback Thursday (Show off your favorite outfit from the past decades such as scrunchies, big hair, plaid shirts, and track suits), and Friday is Bulldog Pride Day (Show off our bulldog pride for our Pep Rally at the end of the day). Just a reminder, school dress code still applies.

There will be an open gym for any girl interested in trying out for the ATMS basketball team on Monday, October 14 from 3:30 to 5:30. Mrs. Hughes will meet girls in the ATMS gym at 3:15. A completed sports physical is required to participate. Please contact Coach Hughes with any questions. There will be no open gym on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, October 15th, Randolph Early College will have their first informational session in the ATMS Media Center at 6:00 pm.

Boys basketball open gyms will be on Tuesdays from after school until 4:30. You must have a physical to participate. Basketball tryouts will be held on October 28 to October 30. 8th grade boys will try out from 3:00 to 4:30. 6th and 7th grade boys will try out from 4:00 to 5:30. Girls basketball tryouts will be from 5:30 to 7:30.

In athletics, the football team and cheerleaders will host the Randleman Middle Tigers for the Regular Season Championship on Wednesday, October 16th, game time will be at 4:30. The softball team will host the Randleman Tigers on Tuesday, October 15th and travel to take on the Tigers on Thursday, October 17th. Good luck to both of our Bulldog Programs. To celebrate the last home game for both sports, we are asking all softball fans to wear White and all football fans to wear Black as we cheer on our teams to support their successful seasons.

Prior the football game on Wednesday, we will be having another hangout opportunity. During hangouts, students come to the gym when car riders and walkers are called and play basketball, or sit and hang out with friends until the football game begins. We will have concessions available for purchase during this time. The cost to get in the hangout is $2 and the cost for the game is $4, so we collect $6 as you enter the gym. Please bring correct change. Students will then go out to the football game at 4:15 to cheer on the football team. The game should end by 6:15, so please have rides waiting by no later than 6:15.

Thank you for your continued support and have a great week!
