Good evening ATMS, this is Brian Hodgin calling with a few announcements and reminders.

There will be baseball workouts on Monday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 6 for anyone interested in baseball. Workouts will be held at the ATMS baseball field from after school until 4:15. You must have an up to date physical with you or on file at ATMS in order to participate.

Spring sport tryouts are coming up soon.  In order to try out for a team student must have a physical on file.

  • Volleyball tryouts will be February 4 - 6. The first day will be 3:15-5:15
  • Baseball tryouts will be February 11 - 13, right after school until 5:15.
  • Boys Soccer tryouts will be March 11 - 14, right after school until 5:30.
  • And Girls Soccer tryouts will be March 13 - 15, right after school until 5:30.

All 8th grade students received information and permission slips for our field trip to the Civil Rights Museum last Friday. Please check with your child for these papers and read over the information sheet that was stapled on top. The cost of the trip is $16 and this will be due along with the two permission slips no later than Friday, March 1. If you have any questions about the field trip, please contact Mr. Hal Davis - h1davis@randolph.k12.nc.us.

Report cards will go home on February 11.

Due to the report card delay, we will reschedule our first semester awards for Friday, February 22.  These will be held by grade level.  I will be sending a schedule to help narrow down the time your student will be recognized to help as you plan to attend this event.  The 7th grade awards will start at 8:00 and the 8th grade awards will start at 9:30.

Our PTO has a few T-shirts remaining to sell.  The sizes available are Large, XL and XXL.  The price is $8 each.  You can purchase these in the main office.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you and have a nice evening.

Brian Hodgin, Principal
