Good evening ATMS, this is Brian Hodgin calling with a few announcements and reminders.

Due to scheduling conflicts we have an athletic change for next week.  The home football game, originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 11 will be moved to Thursday, October 12.

We will have a hangout this Thursday before our home football game against Uwharrie. The cost to get in the hangout is $2 and the cost for the game is $3, so we collect $5 as you enter the gym. Please bring correct change. Students go out to the football game at 4:15 to cheer on the football team. The game should end by 6:00, so please have a ride here to pick you up by 6:00. The student section theme for this week is neon. Students, wear your brightest colors and show your Bulldog pride!

I want to remind all students and ATMS spectators to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times.  I encourage you to cheer for our players and refrain from saying anything negative about players, cheerleaders, officials or coaches.  If you observe any unsportsmanlike behavior, please let me know.  Our players, cheerleaders and fan base represent the entire Archdale-Trinity Community.  Help us show the rest of Randolph County what Bulldog Pride is all about!

Boys basketball will have an open gym this Tuesday from after school until 4:30. You must have a physical to attend. Please have your ride here at 4:30.

Girls Basketball will have open gym this Friday from after school until 5:00. You must have a physical to attend.

October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month.   We are stressing how important it is for us to do our part to help prevent Bullying.  Middle School can be a difficult time and students can be easily drawn into conversations or situations that may be hurtful to others.  Our students hear me tell them every day over the intercom to “Be Nice”.  I realize this does not always happen.  Please encourage your student to speak with an adult if they witness or experience any bullying on our campus.  I encourage you to monitor your child’s on-line activity.  Make sure they understand the importance of having a positive digital footprint.

Parents, please remember no outside food or drinks are to be dropped off for students.  Students are not allowed to have any fast food in our cafeteria or anywhere on campus during the school day.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you and have a nice evening.

Brian Hodgin, Principal
